PERSONALLY SPEAKING
As I look back on my life, it seems that I have always done what I am doing now ... working with people, setting goals and achieving good results.
When I graduated from high school at 16, my parents -- in all their wisdom -- decided that I was too young to go away to college, so plans for continuing my formal education were put in a holding pattern.
A few years later, I married my husband of 55 years (and still counting). The most important things in our lives, next to each other, are our two children and our five grandchildren. The two eldest are now pursuing doctoral studies, one at UC Berkeley and the other at the University of Florida. Another is attending Penn State University. Her sister is a student at Philadelphia Bible University. (Grandmothers just have to say these things...)
Higher education came into the picture again when our younger child began attending school. I enrolled in evening courses for a year and then became a full-time student for the next 3 1/2 years. I received a BA degree in Secondary Education from Trenton State College. Ten years later, while working full time, I earned a MA in Industrial Relations from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
My first professional career spanned 21 years: two years as a high school English teacher followed by 19 years in various professional management and administrative positions in the State of New Jersey’s Department of Labor and Industry.
In 1987 we moved to Pinehurst. Not yet ready to retire, I decided to enter the real estate profession and have been a full-time realtor since 1988. I plan to continue doing what I enjoy so much ... providing
