The Pinehurst area is located in central North Carolina at an altitude of 550 feet and in a geological area labeled The Sandhills. Characterized by sandy soil, it affects the temperature throughout the year by moderating day and night highs and lows to the extent that a clay type soil could not. This area is about as far South as you can go and still have four distinct seasons. There is a fall leaf foliage display, but after those leaves fall, the green of the beautiful pines creates a colorful environment, which is uplifting and pleasant during the winter months. We enjoy year around moderate temperatures and a consistent amount of rain .
